How It All Began
A long time ago (not really, it was 1999) in a shed in St Clement, Jersey, Martin Roberts Motorcycles opened its doors (well, door).
Starting out with not much more than a couple of cans of oil, Martin Roberts set to work building his business, something he had dreamed of since he was a young lad. Over the course of the next few years he sold, maintained and restored (not necessarily in that order) a large range of motorcycles from some of the worlds top motorcycle manufacturers.
In 2008, Martin moved the business premises from the aforementioned shed in St Clement to the current location in Gloucester Street, St Helier; possibly the busiest street in Jersey.
What we do
Here at Martin Roberts Motorcycles, we have a focus on the quality of our service. We are a small, family run business that aims to bring a high quality of work for a reasonable cost in our workshop. Of course, we also aim to do the same in our showroom. And we excel in those aims.
Our shop is not a so-called “glass palace”, it is a much more wholesome place where our passion for all things motorcycle related can be expressed. This can be seen even in the showroom, through the various forms of signage, the shelves of petrol tanks, and finally the motorcycles and accessories presented for sale there. We even have a motorcycle being assembled on a (rather large) piston!
